Overtime a Sore Point for Boston

Point's OT winner

Brayden Point ended the game almost as quickly as it started it blasting a one-timer past Bruins' goalie Tim Thomas 26 seconds into the first overtime stanza to give Tampa Bay a 4-3 Game 1 win over the Bruins. Point scored out of a scrum 25 seconds into the game to open the scoring, and Steven Stamkos tipped home his offering to the Boston goal to give Point 3 points and first-star honors. On his game-winner, it was Nikita Kucherov doing the spade work digging the puck out of the corner to set up Point alone in the slot which sent the standing-room-only Amalie Arena crowd into a frenzy.

Krejci's game-tying marker
The Bruins regrouped in the third as they trailed 3-1. Adam Oates tipped a Ray Bourque shot under the arm of Andrei Vasilevskiy to bring Boston within one. The powerplay was clicking for the Bruins, and they cashed in with yet another tip-in with David Krejci doing the honors knotting the score. Rick Middleton dashed up the left side and made a nifty move to free a lane to the net. Krejci was Johnny on the spot deflecting the puck over Vasilevskiy's shoulder. Boston was 2 for 6 with the man advantage with Brad Marchand batting a first-period goal out of the air to tie the game at 1-1.
