Baseball Highlights

Yaz's Hattrick of Homers

Carl Yastrzemski belted 3 homers and drove in all 5 runs in a 4-4 performance as the 1978 Red Sox defeated the 1941 Red Sox in Game 3 of their ALDS by the score of 5-2.

Heady Double Play

Indians' pitcher Mel Harder was the recipient of a vicious liner off the bat of Manny Ramirez in a game from my MLBTS 19 all-time top 50 franchise. The ball caroms off the head of Harder and into the glove of Nap LaJoie who then doubles off Ted Williams. To add insult to injury, Harder was also the loser in a 5-3 Boston win.

RemDawg's Three-Run Johnson

I'll always remember Jerry joking about his lack of power on the Sawx broadcasts with Eck. Well, here is the RemDawg with a three-run Johnson in my 80s franchise on MLBTS 20 giving it a little "Pudge Push". You will be missed, Jerry, but your memory lives on.

Pesky Pole Dinger

A Pesky Pole homer by its namesake.

Triple Play

Turned my first triple play in my all 80s franchise. Marty Barrett snares the liner, flips to Glenn Hoffman and then Tony Perez scampers back to complete it with the tag.

No Hitter!

PERFECT GAME! - Yes ladies and gents it was my first ever with this series - 27 up and 27 down as my '78 Red Sox pounded the '48 Indians in my Classic 2.0 set. When I play a franchise now, I usually only play 6-10 full games per month depending on how the sims are going, and I threw every pitch and drove in every run in this one! In this clip, you'll see the post-game celly, the highlights, and my guy Dewey Evans taking legendary Indian Bob Feller deep. Mike Torrez was the author of the no-no and is having a tremendous campaign, so I officially have forgiven him for serving up the Bucky Dent homer.

Negro Leagues Return

A Negro League tilt with Newark against Chicago at Wrigley. Here is the result. I started out using Chicago and when I jumped out to a 4-0 lead, I switched to Newark to try to even the ledger but Bill Foster was just too much.
